On the 2021/1/10 (Sun) broadcast of the TOKYO FM radio program “Sugisaki Hana’s Flower TOKYO” (every Sunday from 8:00 to 8:30).
Sugisaki Hana: Oh, there was another email for this line (tomorrow will be sunny too).
41-year-old from Osaka Prefecture, radio name Kokomilk.
Listener email: Nice to meet you, Ohana-chan. I always enjoy listening to it.
I watch Ochou-yan with my 11-year-old daughter, and recently her catchphrase has been “tomorrow will be sunny too.”
Sugisaki Hana: Hahaha (laughs) So cute. I’m so happy.
I’m glad that so many people are watching it this year. NHK morning drama Ochou-yan.
I see. Eh, the 5th week of broadcast is over already? Next week will be the 6th week, right?
That’s right. The Kyoto arc has started.
What do you think? I really love the 5th week. The tempo is really good, and there are a lot more funny scenes than ever before.
Chiyo has been through a lot of hardships, and she had to say goodbye to Teruo and everyone at Okayasu, and she overcame a lot of things to come to Kyoto, but she’s the kind of person who doesn’t get discouraged or give in to her new environment, but accepts it and lives her life with strength, which is why she’s able to enjoy all the different things that happen to her.
She’s really cool, and Chiyo’s appearance itself is kind of comedic, and the people she meets are really, what do you think? Miyamoto-san, the manager of the new cafe “Cinema”, Mari-chan and Yoko-san, the waitresses, all have unique personalities. And Chidori-san too.
The characters are all really strong (laughs), and I personally think that 15 minutes went by in the blink of an eye during these five weeks.
Yes, that line that everyone wrote, “I hope tomorrow will be sunny too,” is a really great line.
Chiyo goes through a lot of tough times, but it’s precisely when those times are tough that she says, “I’m sure tomorrow will be sunny,” and keeps moving forward without giving up – that’s really strong, and I think it’s cool that she never gives up. I think that kind of behavior must give you energy, so yes, I also get energy from playing Chiyo.
Wow, the sixth week is already packed with content, and towards the end Chiyo takes a step into a new environment, so I think it’s going to be a fun development, so I hope you will enjoy Ochou-yan.
