Sugisaki Hana: 14 years old, Tokyo, radio name “Noro Noro Katatsumuri”.

Listener email: Good morning, Ohana-chan.

Sugisaki Hana: Good morning.

Listener email: It’s been hot even at home lately, so I’m thinking, “Ah, it’s summer already.”

And it’s time to change clothes. I’m a student, so I usually wear my uniform and don’t wear casual clothes much, but I still love clothes.

By the way, Hana-chan, are you a “chest of drawers” type? Or are you a “closet” type?

If you don’t mind, I’d like to know what kind of clothes you like, Hana-chan.

Sugisaki Hana: Are you a “chest of drawers” or “closet” person? That’s a new question (laughs).
But for me, eh…? Ah. But it’s also fine to “use both”, right?

…Basically I like closets.
After all, if I fold everything and then can’t decide what to wear, I have to take everything out and decide “this one”, then I have to refold the others…it’s a bit of a hassle (laughs).
Yes. That’s why I like closets. After all, they’re on hangers so it’s easy to see.

As for what kind of clothes I like…hmm. I wear a lot of black clothes…
I like black clothes that are relatively comfortable to wear and don’t wrinkle easily.

…But summer clothes are really difficult for me.
T-shirts are really cute, but…when I wear them, I look kind of…childish. Maybe it’s because I have a bit of a baby-faced face… It’s really difficult for me to choose summer clothes.
I also tend to wear T-shirts tucked in…I wondered if that looked childish, so I started cutting the length of my T-shirts recently. I’ve cut about 10 T-shirts…(laughs).

I cut them so that I wouldn’t have to wear them tucked in. But I ended up cutting them too short, so my belly button was showing. It was a bit of a mistake (laughs).

I have this feeling that if I wear pants or skirts with zippers, I won’t look childish even if I tuck them in…but if I wear a skirt with strings that closes with a drawstring, I feel like…the top and bottom look too “fluffy”.
I’ve been thinking about how to fix that, but T-shirts are long, so I have no choice but to tuck them in…so I thought “hmm, maybe I should cut them,” and I cut them.
Yes. That’s how it is (laughs).

I hope it’ll be time soon when we can enjoy summer clothes… But it’s also fun to put together an outfit at home, or see what kind of clothes are available and try them out.

Yes. That’s how I spend my time looking at clothes.
Thank you for your message, Noro Noro Katatsumuri.
