Well, I’ll be appearing as the heroine, Takei Chiyo, in the TV drama series Ochoyan starting on November 30 (2020).
Well, the play is the story of a woman who survived her career as an actress in Osaka and came to be called the mother of Osaka.

Ah, well, in this work, Chiyo moves forward one step at a time through parting with and meeting loved ones, love that goes beyond blood ties, and encounters with entertainment. I myself am encouraged while reading the script and acting, and I think it will be a work that will make everyone feel the same way.

All the co-stars are really nice people, so filming is fun every day.
Hmm, I wonder what’s been going on recently…
We really do have completely different cast members every week, and we’re filming every day, so it’s pretty good, and when we meet once and then the next time, it’s like, “Wow, it’s been a while! How have you been?”
So, I think that if we have time like that, it can actually make us feel closer to each other.
During the time we were apart, I thought about them and wondered if they were all doing well. I’m really happy to be able to meet them again after such a long time. Everyone is so kind, and there are many people who are like mothers and ask me questions like, “Are you okay?”, “Are you sleeping properly?”, “Are you eating?”, and we have fun filming every day on a warm set.
About co-starring with Narita Ryo for the fifth time
Personally, this is my fifth time co-starring with Narita Ryo, so I wonder what roles I’ve played up until now. Well, I’ve played a classmate who had a crush on me, we got married, and I’ve played a colleague (laughs). I don’t think it’s often that we get to work together on a project like this, so I feel a strong connection with him after all that time, and it’s because of all the time we’ve spent together that I feel so safe and happy when Narita is on set. There are also many funny scenes with Chiyo and Ippei, so I hope you’ll look forward to it. Yes.

Umm, Maidanono is playing Chiyo’s childhood.
Maidanono’s acting is so wonderful that watching her makes me want to do my best, and I get anxious about whether I can do it after witnessing such a wonderful performance. I think it’s a very powerful first week that will give you courage from seeing her acting Chiyo honestly, motivate you to do your best, and make you think, “I’m going to do my best today too,” so I hope you’ll look forward to it.
