Sugisaki Hana: 12 years old, Hyogo Prefecture, radio name “Girl with long eyelashes”.

That’s nice. Long eyelashes…

Listener email: Good morning, Hanacchi.

Hanacchi’s laughter always makes me smile.

Sugisaki Hana: Thank you. Good morning.

Listener email: I’m 12 years old and in the sixth grade.

I have a dream. That’s to appear in dramas and movies like Hanacchi.

So I have a question for Hanacchi.

How did you become a celebrity? I’d be happy if you could tell me.

Sugisaki Hana: …I wonder if they call me “Hanacchi-chan”?
It’s the first nickname I’ve ever had… (laughs).

Um, my dream is to appear in dramas and movies…
That’s true for me. I’m also like the girl with the long eyelashes… (laughs). Since I was little, I loved dramas and movies, so I watched them all the time. And there were a few works that I liked… and Shida Mirai appeared in all of them. She was my favorite “actress I admired,” and when I realized that I wanted to act someday, I started thinking about it.
…So, I looked up the agency that Shida Mirai, who I love so much, is in with my mother, and I auditioned there and joined my current agency, “Ken-On”… Yes. That’s how it is.

Nah. But I think it’s wonderful that you have such a dream as a sixth grader. Do your best.
I’m sure that if you have a strong desire to “do it” inside of you, that desire will push you forward…

I hope that we will continue to watch more and more of our favorite dramas and movies, and connect to make our dreams come true. I’m rooting for you.
Thank you for your message.
