Sugisaki Hana: Good morning, this is Sugisaki Hana.
Sugisaki Hana’s Flower TOKYO has begun.
Well, and last week, the NHK morning drama “Ochoyan” started, and I’ve received a lot of emails with comments about it, so thank you all.
Well, I’ll just show you one photo.
24 years old, Tokyo, radio name: Sweet Potato Hokuhoku.

Listener email: Ochoyan, good morning.
Ochoyan has finally started.
I was laughing out loud at the first episode’s opening, but the moment I heard the title from Hana’s mouth, tears started rolling down my face.
I was so happy that the show was able to air without any problems, I thought to myself from the bottom of my heart.
I’m also drawn in by Chibi Chiyo’s acting this week.
I’m looking forward to enjoying every last bit of Ochou-yan for the next six months.
I’m rooting for you, Hana-chan. I’m looking forward to it.

Sugisaki Hana: Thank you.

I’m so happy. I’m so happy. Thank you so much.

Oh man… (laughs). I heard that you thought it was good that the show could be broadcast without any problems.

I’m so happy that viewers feel that way too.

We’ve been preparing for a year now, more than a year, and I’m so deeply moved that this day has finally come.

It really feels like it’s been a long journey.

After it was decided, I spent all my time practicing the Kansai dialect and manners, reading the script, and just when I thought it would be time to start filming, the self-restraint period began.

I was always wondering when we’d be able to start filming at home, and we finally started filming, and we’ve been filming for just under five months since then.

Receiving feedback like this makes it really feel like it’s begun.
I think we’ll be working together for a long time, but I really think “Ochoyan” has become an interesting show, so I hope more and more people will enjoy it.

Next week will be the third week, so Chiyo will have grown up and I’ll be taking over from Chiyo, played by Maida Nono, and I think she’ll finally make her proper appearance, and I think we’ll be able to deliver fun mornings every day, so I hope you’ll look forward to it.
Thank you for your continued support of NHK’s morning drama “Ochoyan.”
