On the 2021/1/3 (Sun) broadcast of the TOKYO FM radio program “Sugisaki Hana’s Flower TOKYO” (every Sunday from 8:00 to 8:30).
Sugisaki Hana: Well, I’d like to send another message.
29 years old, Tokyo, radio name Monja-san.
Listener email: Ohana-chan, good morning.
Ohana-chan, is there anything you do when you feel like you need to pray or something like that?
For example, when I’m at a job interview, I always carry a pink handkerchief.
I’m not usually the type of person who wears pink, but I feel like I’m in a good mood when I have a pink handkerchief.
So I carefully iron this handkerchief.
If you have something like that, please let me know.
Sugisaki Hana: Eh, what is it? It’s nice, but…
I don’t really have anything like that that I always carry with me at times like this, but it’s kind of nice.
I think that the power of belief that makes you feel like you can do your best because you have this is surely what gives you energy. I think it’s really great to have something like that.
I wonder, what is it… But, ah, when I have to shoot a really important scene the next day, I pray “May everything go well tomorrow” before I go to bed. In my mind (laughs)
Also, the other day, I shot a really wonderful and important scene in “Ochoyan” that was the culmination of everything I’ve done up until now, and right before that scene, I ate a katsudon (laughs)
Yes. I ate a katsudon hoping that it would be a good day. That’s how it is.
