On the 5th October 2020 (Mon) broadcast of the radio program “IZ*ONE Honda Hitomi’s World Get You” (broadcast every Monday from around 16:25 for 10 minutes / in B・E・A・T) on RADIO BERRY FM Tochigi.
Honda Hitomi: Today is the first Monday. I think there are some people who are meeting me for the first time, so I would like to introduce myself and IZ*ONE again.
We, IZ*ONE, are 12 members selected through an audition program in Korea, and we are a group of 12 people, 9 Koreans and 3 Japanese.
We are currently living together in Korea. However, since there are so many of us, we live in different homes, 6 of us, but we all live together.
And, you see, it’s almost my 19th birthday, or rather it’s tomorrow ♪
Since this is my last broadcast as an 18-year-old, I’ve received many messages of happy birthday from everyone. Thank you very much.
Well, is there anything that you all do on your birthday?
I think I eat cake and eat what I like every year.
Yeah. I don’t do anything particularly different, but on the last day of my birthday, or well today, I look back on the year and set various goals so that I can have a good birthday.
As for my goals when I’m 19, well…
Right now I’m thinking, “Maybe I don’t need to be too perfect.” In a good way.
I want to live my life with the idea that it’s okay not to be perfect in everything.
I feel like I’ve been pretty stoic with myself lately, and I’ve been too tied up with the rules that I have set for myself, like this is something I absolutely have to do, so I feel like I didn’t have much time to relax when I was 18, so recently a lot of people have been telling me that you don’t have to be such a perfectionist.
So I’d like to take my year as a 19-year-old with a little more leeway, be a little more easy on myself, and have a relaxed attitude.
Also, since it’s my last year as a teenager, I want to be cheerful and lively, the kind of thing you can only do as a child, so that I don’t have any regrets (laughs).
