RADIO BERRY FM Tochigi On the broadcast of the radio program “IZ*ONE Honda Hitomi’s World Get You” (every Thursday from 21:30 to 21:45) on July 9, 2020 (Thursday).
IZ*ONE’s Honda Hitomi gave support and advice to a listener who is a member of the track and field club and is worried about “injuring her body and feeling anxious.”
Honda Hitomi: From a “city boy” living in Kochi Prefecture.
Listener email: Hii-chan, good evening.
I’m in the track and field club as part of my club activities, but I’m currently injured and can’t move the way I want to.
Even after recovering from my injury, I still feel anxious, and I feel like I’m going to injure myself again.
I’d appreciate it if you could support me so that I don’t feel anxious.
Honda Hitomi: Ah…I see.
But I also had an incident when I was in elementary school…I wonder when it was. When I was in the first grade of elementary school, I was playing on a trampoline on the first day of summer vacation and broke my leg (laughs). At that time, I was learning cheerleading… and because I broke my leg, I was only able to watch for a month or two, and couldn’t participate in practices, and couldn’t even perform in the actual performance.
I was really anxious about falling further and further behind the others…
But I knew that anxiousness wouldn’t change anything…
I was really anxious, but I thought it was important to calm down and let time take its course.
If I anxiously got injured again… that would take time to heal.
So I was really anxious, so I was really worried that “I’ll be overtaken by the others…”, but now I’ve changed my mindset to “I’ve worked so hard up until now, so I probably needed some time to rest”, and I think it would be good to take my time and “wait until my injury heals”.
So don’t be anxious. Just relax. Wait until your body is back to normal!
I’ll always be cheering for you.
…I’m sorry. I can’t get it all together (lol).
But it’s really okay. Do your best!
