Sugisaki Hana: Aji Noriko, 25, Chiba Prefecture.

Listener email: Good morning, Ohana-chan.

Sugisaki Hana: Good morning.

Listener email: I always enjoy listening to your show.

Sugisaki Hana: Thank you.

Listener email: I worked the night shift until March, so I wanted to write to you to let you know how happy and comfortable it is to be able to listen to your show in real time in the morning.

Sugisaki Hana: Thank you.

Listener email: I moved to a house with a balcony, and I’m happy to be able to hang out the laundry outside. But I learned this spring that if you hang towels outside for too long, they’ll get too dry.

Ohana, have you ever made a mistake with laundry?

Sugisaki Hana: Ah, laundry…
I mean, laundry is really difficult, and there are quite a few mistakes, aren’t there?

There are a lot of them… (laughs).

For example, I wonder. Recently… well, not recently, it was a while ago…
When I went to France to film “Another Sky”, I had some free time and bought some cute pajamas. So, I thought “I’d like to wash them once before wearing them”, so I put them in the wash… but I put them in the dryer as they were (laughs).

…and they shrunk a lot. Not that I couldn’t wear them, but they were really tight.
I was so depressed… (laughs).

Also… when I was little, I would often leave tissues or scraps of snack paper in my pocket and put them in the washing machine, and my mom would get mad at me…

But laundry is really hard, isn’t it?
For example, after I put the clothes in the net, I realize that the net itself is inside out (laughs).

…Does this happen often? Like, “The zipper is the wrong way around.” Yes, right?

Also, when I’m done with the laundry and want to hang it up to dry, two or three hangers come stuck to it even though I only took one hanger (laughs).

…It’s kind of a small thing, but it makes me go “Ahhh!” sometimes.
Also, I wash the clothes, take them out, and forget to hang them out to dry.
I forget to take them in at the end of the day. There are quite a few times when I realize just when I’m about to go to bed and I’m like, “Ahh… there’s still things to do” (laughs).

I mean, I really did a ton of laundry during this period. Wow… I really felt how hard housework is.
But it made me think that it would be nice if I could do things like this carefully (laughs).
