On the bayfm radio program “Tonight, Under the Sakura Tree” (every Wednesday from 24:00 to 24:30), broadcast on September 2, 2020 (Wednesday).
IZ*ONE’s Miyawaki Sakura answered many questions from listeners living in Korea.
Miyawaki Sakura: No radio name, but from a Korean.
Listener email: Good evening, Saku-chan. This is my first email.
Lately, “Sakunoki” seems to be overwhelmed by messages from other members.
I like everyone, but please tell me more about Saku-chan. I want to know.
When was the last time you cooked? What was it?
What is your “scariest dream” ever?
You said you wanted to be a doctor, but in what field were you thinking?
Please tell me!
Miyawaki Sakura: Wow. So many questions.
The last time you cooked… I only cook in Japan except for filming. I haven’t really cooked for myself in a year, I haven’t even been back to Japan yet.
It’s been so long that I can’t even remember.
I really want to cook…cooking is a way to relieve stress.
The scariest dream I’ve ever had…eh?
I have lots of dreams, but the scariest one is…
You know those dreams where you don’t know if it’s a dream or reality?
I woke up and it was already time to go. The pick-up time (pick-up time) had easily passed…it was time for the live music show to start. I woke up and I was in the dorm. Just me!
…So I thought, “Oh no!” and turned on the TV, and IZ*ONE was on, and I was the only one in the dorm (laughs). I thought it was “real”. It was so real.
When I woke up, I was so relieved. It was so scary.
Do you know that dreams like that are actually the scariest? Everyone. I was really scared at the time.
…The medical field I wanted to be was an obstetrics and gynecology doctor. I’ve been present at the birth of my cousin and my younger brother three times. I’ve been present at quite a few births (laughs).
And so, ever since I was a child, I’ve been really interested in obstetrics and gynecology. I don’t know how to put it, but the idea of life being born is such a mysterious, wonderful thing… and even as a child I was moved by it.
I thought that someday I would like to be present at the moment when life is born as an obstetrician-gynaecologist, so ever since I was a child I thought, “If I become a doctor, I definitely want to be an obstetrician-gynaecologist.”
