RADIO BERRY FM Tochigi Radio program “IZ*ONE Honda Hitomi’s World Get You” (10 minutes from 16:25 every Monday / B・E・A・T) broadcast on Monday, December 21, 2020.
Honda Hitomi: Finally, a quick Korean lesson from Hii-chan.
Today, I’ve already taught you all a lot about puinpuin and koguma, but since Christmas is coming up, I’d like to teach you how to say present in Korean.
In Japanese, present is English, so it’s either a gift or Japanese.
In Korean, present is “선물 (songmul)”.
When written in katakana, it is written as “songmul”, but since Korean has a patchim, the “ru” is shortened and it is said as “songmul”.
It will be useful to remember this, so please remember it.
