On the 2020/11/9 (Mon) broadcast of the RADIO BERRY FM Tochigi radio program “IZ*ONE Honda Hitomi’s World Get You” (broadcast every Monday from around 16:25 for 10 minutes / B・E・A・T).
Honda Hitomi: Until yesterday, we were doing an online high-five event for our first Japanese album Twelve, and we’ve received a lot of feedback on the online event, so we’d like to introduce it to you. It’s from Hina, who lives in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Listener email: I participated in the online call for Twelve.
It was my first time calling Hii-chan, so I was really nervous, and even though I knew her favorite food was cheese, I asked her.
What I really wanted to ask was what your favorite song in IZ*ONE is and what your motto is.
Let me have my revenge. I’ll always be rooting for you.
Honda Hitomi’s favorite song in IZ*ONE
Honda Hitomi: So.
That’s right, if you get nervous, you can’t ask what you want to ask.
Well, my favorite song by IZ*ONE is “Merry-Go-Round” for which I wrote the lyrics, but I also like “DESTINY” just as much.
I basically like ballads, so I listen to this song a lot.
So please listen to “DESTINY” too.
Honda Hitomi’s motto
My motto, well, I guess the thing I always remember and think I should never forget is “never forget to be grateful to people.”
I’ve said this a few times before, but no matter how much you feel you don’t get along with someone, you can’t live on your own, and there are so many things that make you who you are, so even if there’s someone you don’t get along with, you should never forget to be grateful to them, and the reason I’m able to work as IZ*ONE right now is because of all of you who always support me, and it’s all thanks to all of the people who support me from close by, so I think I should never forget to be grateful. That’s how it is.
