On the bayfm radio program “Tonight, Under Sakura’s Tree” (every Wednesday 24:00-24:30) broadcast on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.
Miyawaki Sakura: Next, Nanasemaru, radio name. Thank you.
Listener email: Good evening, Saku-chan. I always enjoy listening to Saku-no-ki.
I’ve been a fan of Sakura-chan for eight years, but I’ve never sent you an email before, so this is the first time I’m writing to you.
I’m studying every day for my university entrance exam this year, and it’s really hard.
Four months left until the exam. It’s an important time for me, but no matter how much I study, my grades aren’t improving, and I’m really depressed.
When you hit a big wall and nothing you do works, how do you recover from that?
I listen to “Yummy Summer” every day to motivate me to study.
I can really concentrate when I study while listening to “Yummy Summer”.
Thank you for the wonderful song. Saku-chan, I’ve always loved you. I’m rooting for you.
Miyawaki Sakura: Oh, thank you.
You can concentrate on “Yummy Summer”? That’s amazing (laughs)
“What do you do when your grades aren’t improving and nothing you do works?”
Well, you change your method, right? You change the way you work hard.
I think that’s true, but what else? I think it’s good to set small goals.
Like, “I’ll definitely get this answer by this point today,” or “If there’s a similar problem, I can’t finish until I solve it and get it right.”
If you overcome small goals each day, I’m sure you’ll get closer to your big goal, even if it’s just a little bit at a time.
