On the bayfm radio program “Tonight, Under the Sakura Tree” (every Wednesday from 24:00 to 24:30), broadcast on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, IZONE’s Miyawaki Sakura talked about winning seven Korean music shows. Miyawaki Sakura: This time, IZONE has won seven times, so we have won first place. We have won first place on all music shows in a week. This is all music shows except for Mondays, so we have won six. We have won first place seven times. It’s called a “grand slam.” Taking first place on all music shows in a week is called a “grand slam,” and IZ*ONE has finally achieved this for the first time! It’s amazing. I’m so happy every time we win first place, and I always think, “Maybe this time we can’t do it” (laughs). In the midst of all that, it was our first time to get first place…and on all the music shows. There were also music shows where we got first place for the first time. So I’m really, really happy.
It’s not often that we get to perform in front of WIZONE…but we always perform with all our might, as if WIZONE is in front of us.
It felt like a warm “present” from WIZ*ONE, so I was really proud and very happy.
