Regarding the “Sakunoki” blog post about “Is it a nuisance to talk to someone you’ve just met?”

Tonight, under the Sakura tree

Listener email: I totally understand the story on the “Sakunoki” blog about “whether it’s annoying to talk to someone you meet for the first time.”

I used to think the same thing until recently, but recently, when I think about it the other way around, I realized that I myself “find it helpful when someone talks to me,” so I try to interpret it as “the other person is probably waiting for me to talk to them,” and try to talk to them little by little.

I’m sure Saku-chan can’t have “zero communication skills” since she can respond so well with high-fives and other things!

Miyawaki Sakura: Ah… thank you (laughs).

You said, “Isn’t it annoying to talk to people you’ve just met?” and I said, “Because they’re so good at high-fiving…”

Well, I don’t know why, but the people who come to high-five events are people who unconditionally “like” me, right? Isn’t that obvious? They like me, so they want to “see” me and “talk” to me… so there’s no fear.

But people I don’t know, I don’t know what they think of me, or what kind of feelings they have… well, they hardly have any. They feel “nothing.” They don’t feel anything. When I talk to those people, I get nervous and think, “What should I talk about…”

So high-five events and regular everyday conversations are completely unrelated now.
No matter how good I am at high-five events, it’s because I’m “WIZ*ONE”.
