On the bayfm radio program “Tonight, Under the Sakura Tree” (every Wednesday from 24:00 to 24:30) broadcast on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
Sakura Miyawaki: Well, this is the last number for tonight.
I’ve been really into this song from “SHOW ME THE MONEY” lately, and it’s currently number one on the Korean music charts, and the lyrics are really good.
To be honest, I didn’t really understand rap until now.
Well, it’s in Korean, so I didn’t listen to much Japanese rap, and especially Korean is so fast that I can’t understand what they’re saying, so I didn’t know what rap was at all, but when I listened to the next song, I realized that rap is about how you live your life.
And it’s so confident. Like, bring it on, I can do it!
That way of life is so cool. It gave me confidence.
Ah, I thought that people who like rap like this kind of thing.
Everyone has lived different lives, and when they stand on the stage, they shout their way of life and their feelings into the microphone with all their might. They rap in a cool way.
And it’s like, I’m definitely going to shine.
The lyrics are really cool, and it gives me a lot of energy, like, “Oh, I have to work hard.”
I didn’t think I’d be so into rap. SHOW ME THE MONEY is really interesting.
I like Wonstein, Lil Boy, and Justice. They’re on the teacher side.
I really like Justice’s rap.
It’s really cool.
The song itself is good, so it’s fine to just listen to it, but if you look it up on the internet, you’ll find the lyrics, so I’d be happy if you listen to it while looking them up.
Please listen to it. “VVS” from SHOW ME THE MONEY.
