On the broadcast of the 1/25/2021 (Mon) episode of the RADIO BERRY FM Tochigi radio program “IZ*ONE Honda Hitomi’s World Get You” (broadcast every Monday from around 16:25 for 10 minutes / within B・E・A・T).
Honda Hitomi: Finally, a quick Korean lesson from Hii-chan.
Today’s request comes from radio name Omame-san.
Listener email: How do you say “so cute” in Korean?
I’d like to use it when I see IZ*ONE.
Honda Hitomi: Oh, I’m so happy. Thank you♪
There are lots of ways to say “so cute,” but when I want to say it to myself, I say “너무 귀엽다 (nom kiyotta).” She’s so cute.
Somehow, if I say “귀엽네요 (kiyonneyo),” it sounds like I’m saying it to someone, so I think it’s better to say it to yourself like this.
So this time I want you to remember the word “nom kiyotta.”
If you’re saying “you’re really cute” to yourself you’d say “nom kiyotta.”
When you want to tell someone “you’re really cute,” try saying “nom kiyongneyo.”
