On the bayfm radio program “Tonight, Under the Sakura Tree” (every Wednesday from 24:00 to 24:30) broadcast on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
Miyawaki Sakura: I received this message from Ruri, a radio name from Shimane Prefecture.
Listener email: Hello, Saku-chan.
I know this is sudden, but this comeback song “Panorama” is amazing.
The song, the dance, the expressions of all the members of IZ*ONE, everything is great, but what really got me was the dance.
With the choreography of La Vie en Rose, Violeta, FIESTA, and Fantasy Fairy Tale, it became the culmination of IZONE’s dance, and the choreography of the members touching each other and holding hands made me feel like the IZONE members were supporting each other, and it was a beautiful, fleeting dance that almost brought tears to my eyes.
I would like to express my gratitude to Yeonjun, who choreographed it, as WIZONE. I’m also very grateful to IZONE for making this dance their own.
Thank you for showing us such a wonderful performance.
So I’d like to ask, is there any choreography in “Panorama” that you found difficult?
I’d also like to hear any behind-the-scenes footage.
Miyawaki Sakura: Thank you.
The choreography for this time was definitely done by a woman named Choi Dasom up until “Fantasy Fairy Tale.”
So there were a lot of feminine, I wonder, smooth and graceful movements, but this time, Yeongjun-sensei’s (Choi Yeongjun) choreography also has a lot of feminine movements, but since it’s a man’s choreography, there are a lot of parts that use a lot of powerful force.
I think it was difficult for me to express a sense of strength or strength within the elegance.
Wow, we really practiced a lot. Really.
Each choreographer has their own characteristics. So with Dasom’s choreography, I can really get the hang of it, like “Ah, if I do this, then this, if I do this it will look nice” or “If I do it like this it will look good.” So no matter what song the choreography is.
But my body isn’t used to Yeongjun’s choreography yet, so I haven’t yet got a sense of how to make it look nice or pretty.
So that was really difficult.
Each teacher has their own personality, so if I can get a grasp of that personality I can do it really well, but I thought it was really difficult to get a sense of how to grasp that personality.
I’m not the type that has much strength, so I don’t have much muscle.
So I think it was overall difficult to use strength to make the movements look powerful.
