Sugisaki Hana: Well, I’d like to go with one more.

Rimi-san, 32 years old, from Niigata Prefecture.

Listener mail: Good morning, Ohana-chan.

I’m a little proud of you, Hana-chan, who loves green onions.

On New Year’s Day, I ate 15 pieces of sushi with green onions in one go.

Sugisaki Hana: Eh?! (laughs) On New Year’s Day?

Listener mail: I wanted to eat a lot of green onion sushi in the new year, so I used green onions, pickled plum paste, and sushi vinegar in advance,

Sugisaki Hana: So you bought them and made them (laughs)

Amazing! That’s amazing. I respect you.

Listener mail: I was so happy. Ohana-chan, what’s the most number of pieces of green onion sushi you’ve ever eaten?

Sugisaki Hana: (laughs) Oh, and you’re also a plum paste fan.
I don’t put plum paste on top, I just eat scallions and vinegared rice, which is a bit stoic (laughs).
But plum paste is probably delicious too.

Well, I think the most I ate was about 12 or 13 pieces, so I guess I lost to Norimi-san a bit.

Well, it’s good, but it’s nice. Yes, it’s really good. I’m starting to crave it…
I made a promise with a close friend to go to a restaurant to eat only scallion sushi, and I haven’t been able to keep that promise yet, but I definitely want to do it someday.
Yes. When I do, I’ll let you know how many pieces I ate.
